Brings to mind the ruckus over the building of a dormitory for workers in Serangoon Gardens some years back, where the residents protested vehemently due to concerns of safety and how it will cause the value of their property to drop.
Apparently, our attitude towards the foreign workers who work hard to build the infrastructure for us are not well regarded in our eyes....
