To the often-cited argument that there is no point in the conservation of old buildings coz we only preserve the facade and neglect the interior, this article provides a good counter -- conservation does not mean we have to preserve the interior as it was in the past, coz this is not realistic nor practical; instead, it should be allowed to evolve with the times, permitting slight changes to it, but not so great/radical that it will become an affront or insult to its original like the ACS school example in a previous post....
