There's one argument I read before... where instead of the glass ceiling effect (discrimination against women) that prevents women from ascending the corporate ladder, it is the 'sticky floor' phenonmenon that is holding them back....instead of someone preventing them from rising, women themselves are not rising of their own free will....meaning women are reluctant to take on the challenges of top positions as they lack confidence, want to devote more time to family, intimidated by the Old Boy's Club up there....
